· In impact crushing, feed material is picked up by a fast moving rotor, greatly accelerated and smashed against an impact plate (impact toggle). From there, it falls back within range of the rotor. The crushed material is broken again and again until it can pass through the gap between the rotor and impact toggle.
In this paper, a novel approach use the parameters cost, profit, capacity and quality in order to perform a multi objective optimization of a crushing plant is presented. As an example a tertiary crushing stage consistent of a cone crusher and a vertical shaft impact crusher (VSI) is used as base for the designed objective function.
